Outdoor commercial storage systems for lucrative energy trading

TESVOLT presents its new outdoor battery storage system solution TESVOLT Forton at the ees Europe trade fair in Munich from 7 to 9 May. It is the company’s first system to use high-temperature cells based on LFP technology, doesn’t require liquid cooling and paves the way for profitable energy trading for commerce and industry. A performance guarantee of 15 years at two full cycles per day ensures a safe investment. Commercial enterprises need nothing more than a grid connection point with an output of at least 50 kW to use the battery system for highly lucrative energy trading.

Start-up TESVOLT Energy debuts at E-world

TESVOLT, an innovation and market leader for commercial and industrial energy storage system solutions in Germany and Europe, has announced a spin-off: TESVOLT Energy. The start-up’s business model makes energy trading with battery storage systems of 100 kWh and above not only possible but profitable as well. Until now, battery storage systems of this magnitude were excluded from highly complex energy trading or only accepted on less lucrative terms. Here TESVOLT Energy is working with Germany’s most renowned traders: Enspired, Entrix and The Mobility House. The new company debuts at E-world in Essen from 11 to 13 February.

TESVOLT has announced a new joint venture, TESVOLT OCEAN. The TESVOLT Maritime Solutions division merged with Ocean Batteries from Norway last week. The innovation and market leader TESVOLT is focused on commercial and industrial energy storage solutions in Germany and Europe. Its new joint venture has developed a battery system that will enable significantly more ships in the maritime and inland shipping sector to be equipped with clean e-drives for the first time. Space in ships was often too tight for the compact battery storage systems available on the market, until now. The new “Kaptein Series” power storage system has the advantage that the battery modules can be installed individually anywhere in the ship – even on the floor. Due to its disruptive technology, the new power storage solution also features the highest energy density, the lightest weight, and the fastest charging capability on the market. This makes clean e-drives for shipping easier to implement as well as more cost-efficient.

TESVOLT, a market and innovation leader for commercial and industrial energy storage solutions in Germany and Europe, is reporting the largest order in its company history to date. The 65 MWh-capacity battery storage park where TESVOLT’s battery products will be deployed is to be located near the city of Worms in Germany’s Rhineland-Palatinate. The park will be operated jointly by the local energy supplier EWR AG, the PV and storage project developer W POWER, and the construction project developer TIMBRA. TESVOLT is supporting the project development, supplying and installing the large-scale storage system, and will take over service and maintenance for the storage power plant.

TESVOLT will be presenting its new TPS HV 80 E outdoor storage system container at the “The smarter E” trade fair in Munich. Optimised for continuous use in commerce and industry, the system can be used for multiple applications simultaneously. The system comes pre-assembled and once on site, the container only needs to be loaded with battery modules and connected. With an above-average lifespan of up to 30 years, the new container storage system comes with a capacity guarantee of 10 years. For the market launch, TESVOLT is offering a 10% discount on purchases of the new storage system until 30 June 2024.

One of the largest production facilities for stationary battery storage systems in Europe

TESVOLT AG, one of the innovation and market leaders for commercial and industrial energy storage solutions in Germany and Europe, today officially started construction of its new gigafactory at its headquarters in Lutherstadt Wittenberg with a ground-breaking ceremony. With a planned annual production capacity of 4 gigawatt hours, TESVOLT will build one of the largest facilities for commercial stationary battery storage systems in Europe. An investment volume of around 30 million euros is planned for the first construction phase, which includes the construction of the production facility and the fully automated high-bay warehouse. The TESVOLT Gigafactory, which will cover an area of almost 6,000 square metres, is scheduled to go into operation in 2025.

The first WSV workboat with purely battery-electric drive wins prestigious award

The Spatz, the tried-and-tested working vessel of the German Federal Waterways and Shipping Administration, was launched in August 2023 as an electrified version with a battery storage system from TESVOLT. It has now been awarded the prestigious title of "Inland Vessel of the Year" by the Hansa editorial team. The E-Spatz is the first working vessel of its kind to have a purely battery-electric drive and represents a milestone on the road to emission-free inland shipping.

In 2022, one in every two battery storage systems in Germany’s commercial segment were supplied by TESVOLT. Now, the Wittenberg-based manufacturer aims to conquer the Italian market. TESVOLT will use a Milan office to facilitate market access, with on-site training for installation partners. New certificate confirms electrical and functional safety +++ TESVOLT demands stricter safety tests for battery storage systems

TÜV Rheinland has also taken a close look at the latest battery storage system generation from TESVOLT. The high-voltage storage systems TS HV 30 E, TS HV 50 E and TS HV 80 E passed the safety tests. TESVOLT is one of the few manufacturers on the market that can verify the safety of its energy storage systems for commerce and industry with certification from the independent testing institute. The IEC 62619 certification confirms both the electrical and functional safety of TESVOLT’s products, which are available throughout Europe.

18.3 MWh in storage capacity already added to the utility grid

The international project developer Green Energy 3000 GmbH and TESVOLT AG, one of the innovation and market leaders for commercial and industrial energy storage solutions, are continuing their collaboration with the launch of their fourth joint project. This involves deployment of TESVOLT battery containers in a new solar farm near Braunschweig. The solar farm will supply green electricity to around 5,000 households, while simultaneously reducing the load on the utility grid.

At this year’s smarter E Europe trade fair in Munich, TESVOLT has joined with DENIOS to present an all-in-one solution that combines a battery storage system and fire protection – the only one of its kind in the world. The POWER SAFE product line also meets the most stringent safety requirements in commercial and industrial settings, for example in operations located in water conservation areas or regions that are at a risk of forest fires, or as required by some insurers. Products in this line feature cases offering F90 fire resistance rating and are available in various sizes, from small-scale 80-kWh solutions to large energy storage systems with several megawatt hours.

73% of the German population are unsatisfied with progress in the energy transition, BUT…

Among people living in Germany, 73% are unsatisfied with the progress of the energy transition in the country. Just 2% of the population are highly satisfied with progress in the shift away from fossil fuels; 16% are satisfied. These are some of the findings of a representative survey just published by TESVOLT AG, one of the technology leaders for energy storage in commercial and industrial sectors, and the opinion research institute forsa. A total of 1,021 people aged 18 and over took part in the survey, which was held nationwide in late February and early March, 2023. The aim of the survey was to gauge the current mood of the population on the issues of energy, the energy transition and renewable energy.

TESVOLT AG, one of the technology leaders for energy storage in the commercial and industrial sectors, is planning to build a new Gigafactory at its headquarters in Lutherstadt Wittenberg, Germany. The planned construction will include a highly automated production building for battery storage systems as well as a new research and development centre. The aim is for the carbon-neutral facility to ultimately reach a production capacity of up to four gigawatt hours per year. Construction work begins in spring 2023 and is expected to be completed in 2024.

The E series is Tesvolt’s response to the global shortage of chips in energy storage systems; the new systems are configured to use 80% fewer chips. This allows the manufacturer to produce its battery storage system solutions in larger batches and meet the skyrocketing demand for commercial storage systems.
