In the county of West Sussex, a 4-MWh, 1C lithium storage system from TESVOLT together with a 7.4-MW solar park stabilises the utility grid. West Sussex County Council, which commissioned the project, will generate substantial revenues over the next 25 years, with the electricity from the solar park to be sold on the wholesale electricity market. The batteries will generate additional revenues from arbitrage transactions, frequency services, and capacity market revenues. This means requires no subsidies whatsoever.
The system was installed by Arun Construction Services.
