TESVOLT TAYTAN - STACKABLE AND CYBER-SECURE

Easy stacking: The storage system consists of battery modules that can simply be stacked on top of each other without any external cabling. Depending on the inverter configuration, between three and ten battery modules can be stacked in a single string. Up to four of these battery strings can be DC-coupled to form one complete battery storage system.

We develop and manufacture our battery management system in Germany. By using Infineon chips, we ensure long-term availability while strictly adhering to both functional safety and cybersecurity requirements. Modern IoT technology also enables over-the-air updates and remote service access.

Another advantage: the battery storage system operates without an active cooling or heating system. Ambient temperatures ranging from -17.5°C to +50°C do not affect the TESVOLT TAYTAN. It is suitable for outdoor installation in protected areas, such as under a carport.

A twelve-year performance warranty and up to 15,000 charge cycles provide maximum planning reliability and ensure long-term economic operation.

Infineon Cybersecurity Chip from the Automotive Industry
Designed for the highest safety standards. Used in many safety-relevant control systems in the automotive industry, such as active driver assistance systems, autonomous driving, HV controls in the powertrain (BMS, OBC, DC/DC converters) and other safety-relevant assemblies, such as electric steering and braking systems.

  • System Status, Monitoring & Control. All monitoring and control functions of the battery via one portal – including detailed live data collection of battery system and inverter as well as SoC and SoH monitoring
  • System monitoring and remote maintenance. Fault recording and reporting, system parameterization, and updates are conveniently performed via the network—including updates of communication protocols.
  • Over-the-Air Updates. Automatic updates for the battery management system and the TESVOLT IoT Gateway.

  • 1C charging and discharging current. The battery modules (including the battery cells and the interconnection system) are designed for a current carrying capacity of 75 A (competitors typically offer 30–50 A). This enables 1C applications, depending on the inverter used.
  • High performance. The system meets high performance requirements and can optimally cover load peaks.
  • Passive cooling system. The innovative cooling system supports efficient operation even in power-intensive applications such as charging station infrastructure and LSK.

From small to large with one system

The TESVOLT TAYTAN is suitable for a wide range of requirements and offers a high degree of flexibility even after installation. Battery modules can be retrofitted to the stack within 24 months of commissioning. Additional stacks can be retrofitted in parallel connection at any time without restriction.

High power density and number of cycles

Compact system, built for long-term performance

With up to 15,000 charge and discharge cycles and up to two cycles per day, the battery storage system delivers exceptional durability and operational flexibility. This makes it ideal for demanding applications and long-term economic operation.

New: Each module guarantees 35.8 MWh of energy throughput, regardless of C-rate or ambient temperatures ranging from -17°C to +50°C across the entire operating range. The system delivers consistent performance under all conditions – compact, efficient, and reliable.

The applications


The available applications depend on the energy management system (EMS) used. This may be either the EMS integrated into the inverter or the TESVOLT Energy Manager.

Self-Consumption Optimisation
Use more energy from renewable sources and minimise feed-in.

Physical Peak Shaving
Shave consumption peaks and minimise demand rate costs. The grid connection must be able to supply all loads.

RLM Peak Shaving
A smart way of reducing consumption peaks at 15-minute intervals and making full use of storage systems.

Time of Use
Time-dependent use of energy features and services.

Zero Feed-In
VDE FNN-certified fulfilment of grid requirements for not feeding electricity into the utility grid.

Generation Control
Consumption optimisation via active connection/disconnection of generators depending on the energy generated in grid operation.
