Consumption peaks, known as peak loads, are a costly business for high-performance charging station operators. That’s because electric car batteries are becoming ever more powerful, demanding ever higher performance for a rapid charge. Yet the greater the performance, the greater the peak load – in turn, charging station operators see their electricity bills soar even further.
