First of all, you need a paved surface as a safe and suitable location for the heavy container. The second step is to provide the connections required. These connections include the supply line at the feed-in point of the PV system to transfer the energy generated to the storage system, and the emergency power line from the storage container to supply the necessary facilities in the event of a power failure.

The power supply company must install a current direction relay downstream of the energy meter to establish how much energy is currently being consumed. The PV generation meter provided transmits the values for the energy generated by a photovoltaic system, for example. The two values are transferred to the storage system’s control unit via a data cable.

If there is a standing Internet connection on-site, it can also be used and connected to transfer the required data to the Internet portal. If there is no connection, the LAN connection is replaced with a GPRS router, and the data is transferred using a SIM card.

  1. Position of the container
  2. Earth the container using an earthing rod or foundation earth electrode
  3. Connect the supply line for the storage system (AC grid)
  4. Connect the outgoing line for emergency power supply (UPS grid)
  5. Connect the data cable for the current direction relay (RJ-45 for meter)
  6. Connect the data cable for the PV generation output meter (RJ-45 for PV)
  7. Connect the Internet cable if present (RJ-45 for Internet)
